For this job, Marcel Pragnell traveled to Wuppertal in Germany to photograph the Schwebebahn, which literally translated means suspended railway. Seven of his photographs and an interview were spread over six full pages.
The Schwebebahn was opened to the public on March 1st 1901 and to this day transports over 20 million passengers a year. Its top speed is 37.5 mph, the cars are electric and actually swing freely beneath the track. The track joins towns and follows the length of the river.
